This collection of tracks was accumulated over a few weeks, so here I present episode 5.
House tracks old and new are the highlights. House of Japanese has to be one of my favourite tracks from the Chicago House era. Think it was all back in January that the House for the Homeless event was on at Studio 24, was a great turn out with some banging djs. This Tim Green song began to play and that was the tune of the night.
Other fairly recently realised tracks from The Black Madonna and Midland feature in this playlist. Albums which have dropped in 2017 are from Sampha and The xx, I picked two tunes from each album. Track 4 is Sampha at his best. I was going to pick Dangerous from The xx album but ended up going for I Dare You, love Romy’s chorus line got me. Had to throw some chilled tunes in, Acid raindrops, Sunshine and Where You Belong.
Finally I picked Inner City Blues by Rodriquez, was talking to my mate while I was on holiday a few weeks ago about the documentary Searching For Sugar Man which was released in 2012. Came home and watched it again, amazing story and a must watch.
