Headliner: RAHUL KOHLI We're delighted to announce that our first gig of 2017 will be headlined by RAHUL KOHLI Rahul Kohli is one of the fastest rising act on the circuit. A young geordie asian man combining fierce political satire with surreal storytelling, in just a few short years, his debut solo show: Newcastle Brown Male gained critical acclaim at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival earning him a top pick of both BBC Radio 4 and the Huffington Post. It also gained him radio credits for BBC Radio 4's State of the Nation and BBC Asia Networks Big Asian Comedy Night. On top of this he has gained writing credits for other Radio 4 Shows while performing at some of the biggest clubs around the country from the Stand up North to the Comedy Store down south. “Dripping with erudite genius” – fest magazine “Kohli is not just performing for laughs; he is attempting to create some real art.” - Broadway Baby DONATIONS TO LEEDS ASYLUM SEEKERS SUPPORT NETWORK We are delighted to announce we will be donating the proceeds from this show to Leeds Asylum Seekers Support Network. LASSN is a charity which provides support to refugees and asylum seekers in the Leeds area. They aim for refugees and asylum seekers to be: *Supported and relieved from hardship and distress by local people *Empowered to rebuild their lives, to fulfill their potential and to take control of their lives *Integrated settled and safe. LASSN wants Leeds to be a place of welcome and understanding; and for the general public, organisations, politicians and policy makers to understand the needs of asylum seekers
