This week's playlist brings together the sounds of Disco and Jazz. Play it loud, boogie hard and stay beefy.
“Enjoy Your Life” is the gem of this episode, I listened to it a while back but it recently got released on this record “Doing it in Lagos” which features 1980’s Nigerian Disco tracks.
Check out Yussef kamaal and Henry Wu (Henry Wu is one half of Yussef Kamaal); their album (which came out in November) features some amazing groovy jazz.
Hidden Spheres’ “Waiting” is an old deep house track which has a perfect calming groove and for you Old Skool Lover’s there's “Feeling Free”.
The disco starts when you play My People, Be Africa and Alech, amazing grooves! For something more chilled,
Just Do You by Lord Echo, and Something Gives by Fold.
